Have you noticed how the sound of trains in fog seem to carry further than in clear weather?

There has been a lot of fog lately out here on the Columbia River sub of the BNSF, and I have to listen more, in hopes of seeing interesting motive power. So, the fog heightens anticipation.

Thanks Oliver. The second photo just goes to prove that you can't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. I was in a <a href="http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&FORM=LMLTCC&cp=rm47dn4s8g3q&style=b&lvl=2&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=5552897&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1" rel="nofollow"> perfectly safe</a> position to take that photograph that didn't involve trespassing or risking safety.

Wonderful capture of the train going over the bridge. That is real art! Nonetheless the second picture let me hope that you werent catched by the train. It is a powerful capture, but looks really dangerous for you being on the wrong spot.
