I’ve always liked CN’s paint schemes. I think the zebra stripes were my all time favorite though their current scheme is pretty good too. It is bold, graphic, and simple to apply. The logo has always been fascinating to me also. On Sunday CN 2620 sat on the tail track next to the depot so I grabbed this image of it.
I know CN is trying to be not just a Canadian railroad. The whole CN North America thing was a good idea business wise but I can’t says as I really cared for the map on the sides of the locomotive. Most general observers probably thought the engine was just dirty or the paint was peeling. I’m glad they stepped away from that.
