Montana Bound

Four hard working and filthy SD45s quietly decends Mullan Pass after pushing a coal train over the top.

Today I’m on my way to Montana for a week of railfanning with friends.  Our tentative plans have us hanging out on Mullan Pass Thursday and Friday with Bozeman Pass following soon after.  From there, who knows.  Several ideas have been thrown out but nothing is final yet.  It should be fun to visit the Big Sky for a second time this year and work with no specific agenda.

    It’s great to see that MRL are still using these engines. I remember how excited I was to see the MRL’s roster of big blue beasts when I went to undergrad in Missoula.
